Join Directory of Plumbers

Directory of Plumbers is a national directory of plumbing businesses, organized by metro, that homeowners use to find, check, and contact plumbers, including through a free matching service that sends a homeowner's job description to businesses covering that area and type of work. This page is for plumbing businesses. It states what joining involves, what each tier includes, and what we will ask of you, in the same plain terms we use with homeowners. Full tier details and prices are on the Pricing page, and they are the whole of the offer: nothing is sold on this site that is not listed there.

The Three Tiers, in Brief

Listed, $49 per month. Open now. Your published listing in the directory, in your metro and service categories.

Verified, $99 per month. Open now. A published listing, plus entry into our verification process, and the Verified badge on your listing once the document checks pass. The checks are the ones published on How We Verify: a claim check confirming you control the business phone or website on the listing, a license check read back against the issuing authority you name, and an insurance check against your certificate and its expiry date. Until the checks pass, your listing shows Verification Pending. The badge follows the documents, on every tier, without exception. This tier opened after the directory's verification checker was proven against the Texas license register; the badge was not sold before the checks behind it demonstrably worked. Read-backs are automated for authorities whose registers are wired into the checker, Texas today; checks for other authorities go to a reviewer and can take longer, and we do not promise a completion time.

Featured, $199 per month. Opening soon. Everything in Verified, plus top placement in your city results and first position in match results for your service area, labelled as Featured wherever it appears. We recommend reading that page before choosing this tier, because it defines exactly what Featured placement is and what it is not. It is placement. It is not a change to your review figures, which no tier can alter, under the Review Policy.

What Joining Involves

Joining is how a listing gets claimed: there is no separate free claim, and claiming a listing means joining on one of the paid tiers below. You claim or create your listing, complete your profile fields (address, phone, website, hours, services, and service area), and choose a tier. If your business already appears in the directory from public records, it will be marked Unclaimed, and claiming it connects the existing listing to your membership rather than creating a second one. If you join on Verified (or on Featured, when it opens), you submit your license number, the authority that issued it, your insurer's name, and your policy expiry date, and we run the published checks. Keep those documents current: listings are re-checked when a recorded insurance expiry passes, and a badge can move to Pending and then be removed if current documents are not supplied, as the verification page states.

What You Are Not Being Promised

We do not promise a number of leads, a volume of calls, a position you have not bought under the Featured rules, or any particular return on a tier price. Match volume depends on homeowner demand in your metro and on your position under the published formula, and both vary. We do not offer exclusivity in a city or a category, and tiers are open to any plumbing business whose listing and, where applicable, documents are in order. There is no founding rate, no limited intake, and no deadline attached to any tier: the prices on the Pricing page are the prices, and they apply whenever you join.

Every tier is a monthly subscription and can be cancelled at any time, taking effect at the end of the paid period. If the directory is not earning its place in your business, cancelling is a normal action, not a negotiation. Start by reading Pricing, check your current listing status in your metro, and, if your listing is already live and Unclaimed, join on the tier you choose so the record we verify is the record homeowners already see. When you submit the join form, your claim is recorded and we email you a claim confirmation from leads@directoryofplumbers.com with your claim reference, your payment link, and the next steps, so an unfinished checkout is never a dead end. When your payment completes, we email you a welcome message at the address you joined with, confirming your plan and price and setting out the verification steps for your tier.
