About Directory of Plumbers

Directory of Plumbers is a national directory of plumbing businesses, organized by metro, built to answer three homeowner questions in one place: who serves my area, what has actually been checked about them, and how do I reach them. It publishes listings by city, guides on hiring and cost, a published ranking formula, a published verification process, and a free matching service that sends a homeowner's job description to plumbers covering that area and type of work.

Who Runs It

The directory is operated by Lodging Connections, LLC (Lodging Connections, LLC · 924 W 23rd St., Erie, PA 16502 · support@lodgingconnections.com). Lodging Connections, LLC operates the Directory of Plumbers site, its listings, its verification process, and its matching service. Editorial content is produced by the Directory of Plumbers editorial team under the Editorial Guidelines: specific, verifiable statements, named sources, and cost figures published only as typical ranges with a stated methodology. Business relationships are governed by the single published offer on the Pricing page. Trust is not a slogan at this directory, it is a set of documents, and they are all public: How We Verify, How Rankings Work, Review Policy, and these guidelines.

Where Listings Come From

Listings are real businesses sourced from public records: the business listing records available to the public for plumbing companies in each metro we cover. A listing built from public records shows the business name, address, and the public rating and review count attached to its source record, as described in the Review Policy. We do not add information a source record does not support: no invented hours, no invented services, and no invented response times. Where a figure is shown, it is the figure from the record, and a reader can check it against the source.

Unclaimed Listings and How Claiming Works

A listing that a business has not yet claimed is marked Unclaimed on its page. That mark means exactly what it says: the business is real and appears in public records, and it has not yet connected itself to its listing here, corrected its details, or submitted any documents to us. Nothing on an Unclaimed listing is verified by us, and the mark is the reader's signal to run their own checks, using How to Choose a Plumber, before hiring.

Claiming a listing is how a listed business takes control of its record, and claiming means joining the directory on a paid tier: Listed is $49/mo and Verified is $99/mo, as published on the Pricing page. There is no free claim option, and we state that plainly wherever claiming is described. When a business claims, it confirms control of the phone number or website on its listing, corrects or completes its profile details, and becomes the operator of its own record. Claiming also raises a listing's profile completeness under the ranking formula, because that formula is published and a complete, member-maintained profile is one of the inputs it names. Under Verified, the business submits license and insurance documents for the checks described on How We Verify; Featured, when it opens, adds labelled placement under the rules on How Rankings Work. A business that never claims its listing keeps its public-record listing and its Unclaimed mark. Both states are shown honestly, because the difference between them is information a homeowner is entitled to.

What This Directory Is Not

It is not a plumbing company, it does not send its own plumbers, and it does not perform, price, or guarantee any business's work. Its guarantees are narrower and are kept: that the verification steps published here are the steps actually run, that the ranking formula published here is the formula actually applied, and that paid placement appears only where the published rules allow it and is labelled when it does. Corrections to any listing, and reports of any breach of those published rules, go through our contact page and are checked against the source record.

If you are a homeowner, start with your metro page or get matched free. If you are a plumbing business, find your listing, check whether it is marked Unclaimed, and claim it.
